Jungian-Informed Transpersonal Psychology Training

Our Level 6 Diploma in Developmental Transpersonal Psychology integrates contemporary neuroscience, transpersonal psychology, symbolic inquiry, and Jungian-informed approaches to human development and consciousness.

Rather than focusing purely on symptom reduction, the training explores how meaning, imagination, metaphor, symbolism, spirituality, and expanded states of consciousness shape psychological experience.

At the centre of the programme is the AIME Method (Aspects → Into → Metaphor → Emergence), an experiential approach that draws upon Jungian Active Imagination, phenomenology, symbolic exploration, and reflective inquiry to help practitioners work ethically with the imaginal dimensions of human experience.

Grounded in an integrative and ethically informed framework, the programme combines:

  • Jungian Active Imagination

  • Symbolic and archetypal exploration

  • Dreamwork and imaginal inquiry

  • Neuroscience and transpersonal neurobiology

  • Contemplative and embodied practices

  • Polyvagal-informed approaches

  • Existential and developmental psychology

  • Expanded states of consciousness

  • Reflective and experiential learning

The training is designed for practitioners, educators, coaches, therapists, and those interested in deeper approaches to consciousness, meaning-making, and psychological development.

Why Jungian-Informed Approaches Matter Today

Modern mental health approaches often focus primarily on cognition, behaviour, and symptom management. Jungian and transpersonal approaches explore another dimension of human experience: the symbolic, imaginal, relational, and existential layers of the psyche.

This includes:

  • Recurring metaphors and life patterns

  • Dreams and symbolic imagery

  • Questions of meaning and identity

  • Spiritual emergence and transformation

  • Creativity and imagination

  • Unconscious emotional dynamics

  • Embodied and intuitive awareness

Within our training, these dimensions are approached through experiential and phenomenological inquiry rather than rigid interpretation systems.

The AIME Method & Jungian Active Imagination

The AIME Method is influenced by Jungian Active Imagination, depth psychology, phenomenology, and transpersonal inquiry.

Rather than analysing symbols from a purely theoretical distance, practitioners learn how to:

  • Stay close to lived experience

  • Work with metaphor and symbolic imagery

  • Facilitate imaginal dialogue safely and ethically

  • Support meaning-making processes

  • Explore imagination as a developmental capacity

  • Recognise emergent psychological and spiritual themes

This approach emphasises curiosity, symbolic exploration, and experiential inquiry rather than imposing fixed interpretations onto a person’s experience.

A Bridge Between Neuroscience & Symbolic Experience

The programme integrates contemporary neuroscience and transpersonal psychology to explore how imagination, attention, embodiment, emotion, and symbolic perception interact within human development.

Students explore:

  • Hemispheric attention and meaning-making

  • Nervous system regulation and consciousness

  • Symbolic cognition and imagination

  • Creativity and archetypal perception

  • Contemplative and expanded states

  • Transpersonal approaches to psychological growth

  • Meditation and Contemplative Practice

  • Symbolic inquiry

  • Flow writing

  • Expressive arts

  • Embodied awareness

  • Ecopsychological reflection

  • Intuition and imaginal exploration

The focus is not on adopting a belief system, but on developing reflective, ethical, and psychologically grounded ways of working with the complexity of human experience.
