The British Transpersonal Association (BTA) is a non-profit organisation.
We are passionate about helping to develop a new model for mental wellbeing,
creativity and human potential.

Transpersonal Psychology aims to move beyond symptom relief of mental health challenges, towards psychospiritual development through expanded states of consciousness. The modalities include: meditation, breathwork, dreamwork, movement, music, guided imagery, sensory deprivation, hypnosis and plant medicine.

Transpersonal Psychology is an established discipline validated by
The British Psychological Society.

The Vision:
To create a philosophy of transpersonal psychology, and a wider understanding of expanded states of consciousness.
The objectives:

Raise awareness of the historical and cultural practices of consciousness expansion.

Spotlight the scientifically proven benefits of expanded states of consciousness.

Engage in projects which will illuminate, and advocate for, the basic human right of access to those practices which assist in exploring and expanding consciousness.

Support and offer educational pathways and community, for those interested in the effects of expanded states of consciousness on mental wellbeing.

Explore the broader implications of transpersonal psychology on wider society including: Ecopsychology and Emergent Transpersonal Social Engagement.

We train Transpersonal Psychology Practitioners.
We offer Transpersonal Psychology as a healing modality - 1:1 or group sessions.
We provide Retreats in the UK and the Netherlands.
We hold public awareness workshops.
We offer membership for professionals.
